Bob is a principal of Atkins Companies, serving as a Managing Partner overseeing all facets of the firm's operations since 1985. His expertise extends to entitlement, development, financing, construction and management functions, which has led to numerous invitations to speak as a panelist at national healthcare real estate and medical office building conferences.

Engaged in many civic and charitable activities, Bob served as a member of his local Board of Education, chairing its Buildings & Grounds and Negotiations committees. He also oversaw and managed the Atkins Companies’ construction of a residential group home for developmentally disabled young adults, for the benefit of SMILE, a local non-profit organization. Bob has also served as president of the high school booster club, was a member of the board of directors of his town's Little League and continues to be involved in fundraising for many charitable organizations, including The Valerie Fund and Homeless Solutions. In 2002, along with his brother, Chick, Bob was honored by B'nai B'rith International with the Gold Medallion Award for outstanding community service.

Bob is a cum laude graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
